John has been working in the health and fitness industry for more than 12 years now. He started his career as a sports coach in a number of sports including football, basketball, athletics and early development golf (PGA). In 2004, John started working at Bannatynes Health Club, Livingston as a fitness advisor and had worked his way up through the ranks since then to become gym manager. During his 5 1/2 year spell at Bannatynes, he also completed a level 3 personal training course through Fitness Scotland and his level 3 diploma in sports therapy.


He specialises in personal training, sports massage therapy, core stability, weight management and sports coaching. John is a highly motivated and energetic person who takes great pride in helping other people achieve their goals.

Jacqueline Dunsmore

Jacqueline has been working in the fitness industry for 10 years. She started working as a Fitness Adviser at Bannatynes Livingston after completing a HND in Fitness, health and Exercise. After a year or so as Fitness Adviser was promoted to Studio Co-ordinator at the club and gained a mass of new skills and experience.


Jacqueline specialises in personal training, sports massage, pre & post natal fitness and group exercise. Jacqueline has two young children which proves that it is possible to have a busy life but still make time for fitness and well-being.


Jacqueline shares a passion for group exercise classes and teaches Body Attack, Body Pump, BodyStep and Body Combat and she cannot think of a better way to exercise. Jacqueline believes exercise should be fun but at the same time push the participant to the next level to achieve their fitness goals.

Here is a little about me:'


I am currently working full time as a Fitness Instructor within the Prison Service , implementing gym programmes and teaching various fitness classes.


Fitness has always been a passion of mine, I started my fitness career over 9 years ago, when I began as a fitness instructor at Bannatynes Health Club in Livingston, while studying HND fitness health and exercise. During my 4 years at Bannatynes I continued my studies and achieved a bachelors degree in Exercise Sport Science and Completed my qualification in Level 3 Personal Training, as well as gaining experience instructing various, group fitness classes and delivering 1-1 Sessions.

I am also a mummy, to a beautiful little boy, who certainly keeps me on my toes, therefore even with a busy life, Exercise is
